2012 Assemblage Chardonnay: Bronze Medal – 2014 NY Finger Lakes Wine Competition

Our 2012 Assemblage is a fusion of diversity. Contributing to the dance are the Robert Young 17, Dijon 76 and Wente clones grown at DANCIN Vineyards along with Espiguette 352, Dijon 76, 95 and 96 from Three Creeks Vineyards in the south harmonized with Dijon clones 76, 95 and 96 from Durant Vineyards in the north.

The perfectly ripe clusters were hand selected and harvested from each vineyard and carefully blended together to create this limited production Chardonnay revealing the multifaceted flavors of Oregon.

Our Assemblage Chardonnay was aged sur lie (on the lees) for seven months in 100% French oak and stainless steel barrels. The stirring of the barrels, a process known as bâttonage, was carefully performed bi-monthly. These artisanal winemaking techniques add a dimension of creaminess, texture and complexity to the mouthfeel while maintaining the wonderful aromas and flavors of the fruit.
